Summary: Providing effective, efficient, and impactful services to students on our growing caseloads, requires innovation and flexibility with various service delivery options. This on demand webinar (available beginning April 30, 2021) will use case examples to illustrate ways SLPs can confidently recommend and implement consultative services to our colleagues and families we work with. Summary: This course discusses clinical considerations for stuttering assessment and treatment when working with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Speakers focus on Black, Hispanic, Latino/a/x, and LGBTQIAP+ populations, though principles can be applied to other cultural groups. The course addresses cultural perspectives on stuttering, influence of dialect and bilingualism, family dynamics, stigma, standardized testing, language sampling, counseling, and treatment activities. Speakers explore the importance of clinicians considering the impact of their own implicit biases as well as ways to enhance and deliver culturally responsive services for clients who stutter. Summary: This course addresses assessment standards for confident diagnosis of exercise-induced laryngeal obstruction (EILO) for clinicians across settings. Speakers discuss differential diagnoses and complex, co-occurring conditions as well as provide an update on terminology used to describe variants of what used to be commonly known as paradoxical vocal fold motion (PVFM). Summary: Even before the COVID-19 pandemic required clinicians to rapidly adapt their practice for remote service provision, researchers were already exploring effective telehealth approaches for audiology. The articles in this journal self-study (selected from a special issue of the American Journal of Audiology, “4th International Meeting on Internet and Audiology”) examine teleaudiology tools and methodologies for hearing screenings, home-based auditory assessment for people who use cochlear implants, assessing hearing aid outcomes using ecological momentary assessment (EMA), and a tool for evaluating hearing aid performance.
