Course Description

Reliance on standardized test scores can be a major contributor to misdiagnosis of bilingual children with speech and language impairment. Learning Outcomes
You will be able to:

  • Identify risk for misdiagnosis when using standardized test scores to qualify bilingual children
  • Shift the way that IEP team members view the use of standardized tests with bilingual populations
  • Advocate for the use of informal measures for bilingual assessment
