Summary: This on demand webinar (available beginning August 13, 2020) will explore state-of-the-art approaches to assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for individuals with primary progressive aphasia (PPA). Summary: Two big challenges in evaluating dual language learners with reading disorders are determining (1) the best testing tools and (2) the language for assessment. Summary: This on demand webinar examines the continuum of picky eating and explores reasons why children become “picky” across several developmental domains. The speaker focuses on the oral motor and sensory skills necessary for transitioning from liquids to puree, meltable, and eventually textured table foods within the first year of life. Summary: Recent events have placed a renewed spotlight on racial disparities in health care outcomes, how they are addressed in clinical settings, and the impact of clinical service delivery on clinical outcomes. Similarly, these events have highlighted the impact of systems of oppression in higher education, which translate to clinical service delivery in speech-language pathology as well as other disciplines. This course explores how health disparities and systems of oppression are affecting clinical settings and clinical outcomes for communication and swallowing services delivered to individuals of advanced age. Speakers discuss how clinicians can address health disparities and disrupt oppression in their work settings and ultimately improve clinical outcomes for all.
