Summary: Like many other professionals, SLPs often use social media for the exchange of professional information as well as for personal engagement. Posting of client-related information, uncivil remarks, misrepresentation of services, and/or defamatory claims—whether intentional or unintentional—may cross the boundaries of ethical and legal behavior. Summary: While the use of telepractice for dysphagia management has increased considerably due to restrictions on in-person practice during the COVID-19 pandemic, challenges still exist. This session discusses the remaining barriers to the adoption of telehealth for dysphagia services and ways to overcome them. The speaker explains an evaluation and decision-making process clinicians can use to determine if the adoption of telepractice for dysphagia care is right for them and discusses ways to advocate for and start developing telepractice models of care in a variety of health care settings.
